2005, The Paul Rebeyrolle Center celebrates his 10th anniversary.
This anniversary will also be a homage to Paul Rebeyrolle who died on the 7th of February 2005. This exhibition is his own plan.
Open in 1995, the Eymoutiers Art Center, Haute Vienne, 40 Km from Limoges, displays over forty paintings representing the artist work from 1959 to 2000.
Since its opening in 1995, the Paul Rebeyrolle Center was visited by 85 000 persons.
Every year the Center houses temporary expositions inviting the visitors to discover or even re-discover the work of some famous artists from the 20th Century. Pieces of art from Bacon, Brancusi, Braque, Giacometti, Kowalski, Picasso, Riopelle, Soulages, Miró, Léger, César, Monory, Pouget, Roel D'Haese… were displayed during the past 10 years.

The natural thing to do in 2005 was to cover the work of the artist born in Eymoutiers and organise the Rebeyrolle "Plongeons dans la peinture" exhibition. It will show the pieces of art already present at the Center and also some others specially landed for the event.
There will be almost 30 new paintings, essentially created during these 10 past years, joining the ones at the exhibition Le Cyclope, Hommage ŕ Georges Guingouin and the actual permanent stock of paintings.
Over 50 pieces of art will be displayed together for the first time. Most of them would have never been shown before.
This is the opportunity to bring a new eye to the Center and appreciate his strength and diversity to celebrate materials and colour of the world.

The celebrity of the Paul Rebeyrolle Center, is for the past 10 years due to an exceptional collection and to some International exhibitions. It has contributed to the development of the image and the dynamic of the Limousin Région.

So be this year as some paintings, usually based in Eymoutiers, will be landed for another big Rebeyrolle exhibition taking place in the Art Contemporain Fernet-Branca Center (Saint-Louis, Alsace, at the doors of Germany and Switzerland, close to Basel.), Europe is opening up to us.

Few Paul Rebeyrolle « portraits » made by the photograph Gérard Rondeau will be at the exhibition in Eymoutier.
You will also be able to watch the film Rebeyrolle ou le journal d'un peintre from he same Gérard Rondeau.

Paul Rebeyrolle Center will take this opportunity to publish a magazine of the exhibition.
